Physical Therapy

Physical therapists provide services that help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities in patients with injury or disease. They restore, maintain, and promote overall fitness and health. The physical therapist evaluates their patients’ movement dysfunction, including overall active range of motion, strength, balance, ambulation, activities of daily living and devises a treatment plan to help them to achieve their personal goals. Their work primarily makes use of therapeutic training and exercise, using aquatic therapy pool, special equipment and modalities for pain control.  Physical therapists establish the patient with a Home Exercise Program using handouts that may include fall prevention, pain control, energy conservation and exercises to maintain strength and endurance.
