Contact Lens Care
Taking care of contact lens is important to keeping your eyes healthy. Poor care of contacts lens can lead to red eyes and painful infections with the possibility of permanent long-lasting damage.
Here are a few tips to keep your eyes and contact lens in good condition:
- Sanitize your contacts - Clean contact lens properly. Don't add new solution to old solution when storing your contacts. Clean your case daily, and get a new case every one to three months.
- Don't over-wear - Replace contacts as often as the Doctor recommends you too. Give your eyes a break and DO NOT sleep in your contacts. Take contacts out before showering, and swimming.
- Avoid questionable contacts - If a contact causes irritation or pain while wearing or if you notcie a tear, throw it away immediately. DO NOT buy contacts from stores, online, or anywhere that doesn't require a prescription.
- Carry a spare pair of glasses - Have a pair of glasses as a backup just in case you lose a contact or if something unexpected happens to your contacts while you are at work, school, or on a vacation.
