Annie M. Frederick grew up in the small logging town of Morton, Washington, nestled at the base of Mt. Rainier. She moved to Newport in 1990 after marrying her husband, with whom she has shared 34 wonderful years. Together, they raised their two daughters, both of whom now work in healthcare. Annie enjoys traveling, outdoor adventures, and maintaining an active lifestyle with her family.
Annie holds a Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition from Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington. She completed a year-long dietetic internship at OHSU/VA Medical Center in Portland, Oregon, where she began her journey as a Registered Dietitian. With a passion for fitness, science-based practices, and a people-centered approach, Annie is dedicated to empowering patients with the tools to take charge of their health. She finds immense fulfillment in partnering with individuals to create personalized strategies that honor their unique goals and lifestyles.
Since joining the Kalispel Tribe’s healthcare team seven months ago, Annie has cherished the opportunity to serve and learn from the Tribe’s rich cultural heritage. She values her role in fostering a holistic approach to health that respects cultural traditions, including the preservation and promotion of traditional food practices. Collaborating with the community has been a deeply rewarding experience, allowing her to grow professionally while tailoring her skills to meet the Tribe’s specific needs.
Annie feels honored to contribute to the Tribe's health and wellness and looks forward to continuing her journey alongside the patients and team at the Camas Center Medical and Dental Clinic.
